A new bar-turning machine arrives at Massard:
the Tornos DT13
On October 19, 2021, we will be welcoming to our company the latest addition to our range of sliding headstock NC bar-turning machines: capable of machining bars from Ø2 to Ø13, it will join our 2 Tornos GT26 and Sigma32 sliding headstock NC machines, which can machine bars from Ø8 to Ø26 and Ø32 . Their big sisters, our 4 Biglia machines with counter-spindle, rotating tools and Y-axis, which handle bars up to Ø65, will be very kind to the newcomer!
It can also count on our 2 KMX First sliding headstock screw-cutting machines to support it in the production of our Ø8 to Ø12 studs. As usual, the big sisters will take care of tie rods, fittings and other studs up to Ø26mm.
Complemented by the SBF213 pilgrim-step bar feeder, the DT13 will enable us to machine large series of mechanical fasteners from a bar as thin as 2mm in diameter.
